Accelerator or VC ?
A: We’re more 「co-builders」 than 「investors」, more 「soul container」 than 「accelerator」. We provide our alumni with everything they might need. The Spark Lab Program is a 12-week immersive residency across two cities: - Weeks 1–8｜Build & Scale: Shanghai, fully immersive building experience. - Weeks 9–12｜Fundraise: Silicon Valley, connecting you with investors. Spark Lab is not a startup bootcamp or a factory-like accelerator. We don’t say goodbye after Demo Day. You're always welcome back at Spark Lab—until you and your company no longer need us.

Absolutely. As long as you have that indescribable drive — that thing you just have to do — then the spark is already there. If you have a spark, we’ll help you ignite it.
Dropout?
Not necessarily. We offer different levels of involvement — you can join at your own pace. You don’t have to go all in from day one. If you’re ready to build, you're in.
What sparks do you back?
As long as it’s real — something you must build — we’re interested. That said, we’re especially excited about: - Consumer-facing applications - Tech-powered consumer hardware
What does it mean to build with Spark Lab?
It means you’re no longer building alone — you’re now part of Spark Lab network. Who belongs here?
We’re looking for young people who are ready to spend their lives exploring one problem or building one world. Whether you're an artist, hacker, or builder — Spark Lab founders tend to share a few traits: 1. Creative and curious 2. A strong taste for emerging art and technology 3. High-agency and self-motivation 4. Unique perspectives and clear discernment 5. An inner spark — and the ambition to let it burn We don’t care about resumes. We care about who you are, and why you want to build.
When should I apply?
When you feel like: “I can’t not do this anymore.” No matter where you are on your journey, we have a path for you: - You’re still finding your people, but starting to ask: “Is this worth burning for?” - You have an idea and are exploring possible directions - You’ve built an MVP and are validating it - You have users and revenue (MRR / ARR / early fundraising) and want to accelerate Our programs (like 20 Fellows) open at different times. You’re welcome to fill out an interest form, and we’ll reach out when it’s a good fit.
Equity involved?
We believe in long-term co-creation — not transactional relationships. If you apply to the Spark Lab Program, we’ll join as an early investor, taking a small equity stake and staying with you for the long haul. If you apply to Fellows, we don’t take equity.
